Musical Theater Voice I: 6-10 yrs

  • The joy of singing is the focus on this class, focus on proper breathing, voice placement, projection, diction, intonation
  • Young singers learn how their body functions as a musical instrument and are taught basic singing skills.
  • Students develop their unique sound, vocal range and learn the foundation to becoming strong and confident singers.
  • Keeping the voice healthy and growing is a key component of this class.
  • This confidence- building class also teaches basic music reading skills, and expression and interpretation of lyrics​
  • In Studio 10-15 min Demo in December
  • End-of-Year session culminates in a recital showcase of songs from Broadway's finest shows in May

MUSICAL THEATER VOICE CLASSES

Musical Theater Voice: PreT/Teen (9 + up)

  • Focus on proper breathing, voice placement, projection, diction, intonation
  • Keeping the voice healthy is a key component of this class
  • This confidence- building class also teaches the fundamentals of harmonies, and how to read music, and expression and interpretation of lyrics
  • Students also work with teacher to choose their own Broadway Musical songs, which they use for improving vocal techniques
  • Keeping the voice healthy and growing is a key component of this class
  • In Studio 10-15 min Demo in December
  • End-of-Year session culminates in a recital showcase of songs from Broadway’s finest shows in May

Art of Acapella Level I/II: PT/Teen (9 + up)

  • Students will explore a variety of a cappella styles, including barbershop, chant, choral, doo-wop, modern, pop, etc
  • Emphasis on history, basic harmony structure, and how to hear and sustain harmony within a group
  • Training in two and three part harmony structures
  • ​In Studio 10-15 min Demo in December
  • End-of-Year session culminates in a recital showcase of songs from Broadway’s finest shows in May
